The Northeast Levy Senior Center (2019 W Lawrence Ave) is a community focal point for residents who are 60 and older. The Levy Center offers a variety of social, educational and recreational activities and provides valuable resources for residents.
The Levy Center is supported by The NE Levy Center Village, a collaborative volunteer network that increases access to resources for older adults in our community. To help neighbors age in place, The Village organizes informational workshops and seminars, as well as social and civic opportunities.
Meetings happen monthly and are open to the public. They begin with a guest speaker or special presentation. After that, updates are shared by the Levy Center and the Department of Family & Support Services. Meetings conclude with news, resources, and upcoming events from partner community organizations.
Village members include Levy Center staff and board members, representatives from Ravenswood Community Council, Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, Sulzer Regional Library, and Swedish Covenant Hospital, local law enforcement, and neighbors from across Ravenswood, Lincoln Square, and Uptown.
