The Made in Illinois Grant Program is a game-changing opportunity for small and mid-sized manufacturers to access up to $50,000 in matching funds to support innovation and strategic technological advancements.
The Made in Illinois Grant will cover allowable expenditures from July 1, 2024 through May 1, 2025. Approved examples include the acquisition or leasing of machinery, such as specialized automation equipment or collaborative robotics. The grant also covers specialized hardware or software, cybersecurity, and predictive maintenance, as well as late-stage product testing and scaling of new products. Expenses associated with the development and commercialization of new products may also be eligible.
Applications are open from April 15 through April 30, 2025.
This program is open to Illinois manufacturers (NAICS codes of 31-33) with between 5 and 250 employees. To be eligible, companies must have operated in Illinois for at least 3 years and had sales revenue in last 12 months. Awards will be prioritized based on business size/geography, business viability, economic potential, and leveraged business impacts. Preference will be given to applicants who did not receive an award in 2024.
