City of Chicago Launches Workforce Solutions Program, Applications Open June 16

The City of Chicago has announced the launch of the 2025 Workforce Solutions Program. This economic development initiative provides reimbursement grants of up to $250,000 to help businesses train both current employees and new hires, which in turn enhances workforce skills, improves retention, and promotes organizational growth.

The program will include a combination of funding from TIF districts and proceeds from the Housing & Economic Development Bond. This diversity of funding sources means the program is open to businesses across the city, including here in Ravenswood! For more information, visit www.Chicago.gov/WorkforceSolutions

The application goes live on June 16, 2025. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds for individual geographic areas are exhausted. Employment & Employer Services will serve as the Program Administrator, providing technical assistance from application to training completion.

Eligible trainings include (but are not limited to):

  • Current Employee Upskilling
  • New Hire On-the-Job Training
  • Leadership & Professional Development
  • Technology Skills

Whether you are growing your team or developing your current workforce, this grant can help!
