Bon Femmes
Omotola Akinbiyi is the founder of Bon Femmes, a Chicago-based shop and creative space celebrating women artists, makers, and designers. She launched Bon Femmes from her passion for the arts and her work spotlighting women in the creative industry, first through her blog and later through an online shop featuring the work of women creators. Since opening the Bon Femmes brick-and-mortar shop in 2021 and Bon Femmes Studio in 2026, she has built a community centered on creativity, connection, and joy.
Jenny Duranski
Lena Rose Beauty
Jenny Duranski is the founder of Lena Rose Beauty, a green beauty boutique and spa offering clean products and holistic beauty services. A former nail technician, she turned her experience with salon chemicals into a mission to create a safer, more sustainable beauty industry. Since founding Lena Rose, she has expanded the business to two locations and developed a house line of plant-based beauty products. Duranski is also an advocate for safer cosmetics and working conditions, collaborating with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics to promote greater protections for beauty professionals and consumers.
Danielle Holtz
Ridman’s Coffee
Danielle Holtz is the co-owner of Ridman’s Coffee, a Black and woman-owned specialty coffee shop on the northside. Originally from Minnesota, she moved to Chicago in 2006 and also works for Chicago Public Schools. In 2023, Holtz and her husband, Ryan Haynes, took over ownership of Ridman’s, building on its longstanding reputation as a welcoming neighborhood gathering place. Under their leadership, they have preserved the shop’s community-focused spirit while introducing new offerings, supporting local artists, and expanding its commitment to sustainability and accessibility.
