This summer, the Department of Water Management (DWM) will begin work replacing several old water mains in Ravenswood. Replacement work will take place along the following streets:

• Ravenswood Ave (west leg) from Lawrence to Wilson
• Hermitage from Sunnyside to Montrose
• Sunnyside from Paulina to Ravenswood Ave

Work on this project is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 26, 2025. Throughout the project, these streets may be impacted by street closures and loss of public parking spaces.

Ahead of the start of work, GRCC is partnering with 47th Ward Alderman Matt Martin’s office and DWM to host a virtual pre-construction meeting. This will be an important opportunity for businesses to learn details about the project and ask any questions they have of DWM staff.
