While currently in Phase II, where the goal is to continue flattening the curve while safely being outside, we are on track to move to Phase III at the close of May.
Moving Forward: Phase III
Phase III is deemed a “cautious” reopening and will focus on: Non-essential workers begin to return to work in a phased way, Select businesses, non-profits, city entities open with demonstrated, appropriate protections for workers and customers.
Non-business, social gatherings are still limited to < 10 persons and phased, limited public amenities begin to open. Masks are recommended when meeting with others as well as continued practice of social distancing.
The City of Chicago Department or Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) is coordinating a series of ZOOM meetings to help businesses prepare.
