My knives are all hand forged with a hammer and anvil from high carbon steel, much of the steel I use is scrap from various sources such as old leaf and coil springs, though I will from time to time source new steel for projects that require specific dimensions that I would have a difficult time sourcing through scrap.
The process of my work is constantly evolving based on new techniques I observe and the time and tools I have available for any given project. Each new piece is different from the last as I incorporate the knowledge I’ve gained from previous work into the next piece in production. I don’t often try to replicate individual pieces over and over though many of my pieces are variations on theme, whether that is a matter of scale, size, style or technique.
