My name is Tatiana Scolin. I am an artist based at Lillstreet Art center. My work is inspired by organic forms and natural textures. I have developed a particular passion for working with wax and casting, which allows me to create intricate and unique pieces and shapes that are impossible to achieve with traditional fabrication methods. The unique lines, carved impressions, and variegated tones all serve to tell the story of the materials. I frequently use stones in my work, and I love finding the special ways of setting them, highlighting the beauty of earthly objects and the ways in which they often mimic landscapes in miniature.
