Ravenswood is always a popular destination for Valentine’s Day. Going out may look different this year, but we’ve got you covered with the first Ravenswood Valentine’s Date Night At-Home! You’ll be able to enjoy an evening of laughs and book a complete date night experience in just a few clicks.
First, we put together a virtual comedy show featuring some of the funniest rising stars in the Chicago comedy scene. Then, we called up our friends (Ravenswood small businesses) to create an easy, fun and local ‘date night at-home’ bundle for Valentine’s Day.

Meet the Comics
Janice Rodriguez uses her experience as the “whitest Latina” she knows, an entrepreneur, and an “at best average marriage partner” to tell her side of the story. She brings a fresh perspective to topics related to her culture, Indiana upbringing, and her professional and personal lives. Janice is a regular at local comedy and storytelling showcases and has been invited to perform at a number of festivals, including Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, SheDot (Toronto), and LaughFest (Grand Rapids). Janice is a founder and producer of Las Locas Comedy, a showcase that features Latina/Latinx talent.
Jake Noll is an actor and comedian newly based out of LA. They have appeared in numerous original series and shorts, including as the lead in Just Call Me Ripley (series OTV). As a stand up they have opened for Matt Braunger, Beth Stelling, Justin Willman, Joel Kim Booster, and Cameron Esposito. In 2019 they were named Best Stand Up by The Chicago Reader. They have performed all over the country, including Laugh Factory (Chicago), Break Out Fest (Second City), NBC Stands Up semi finals, SF Sketchfest (San Francisco), and Limestone Comedy Festival (Bloomington, IN).
Dario Durham is a Chicago comedian and producer, and the co-host of the podcast B Posi+ive: The Chicago Stories. His second collaborative comedy album, Laughter Is Good for the Soul, debuted on iTunes at #1! He’s also the co-founder of We Can Do Better, a community organization aimed at proactively creating positive change. Most recently, Dario is the co-producer and host of a new show at Zanies Comedy Club, “Wednesdays After Work”.
Tyler Fowler‘s witty and clean brand of stand up comedy has made him a favorite around Chicago and across the US. Regularly appearing at Zanies Comedy Club, he was recently named among the ‘Best Of The Fest’ at the Cleveland Comedy Festival. Tyler’s album, Friends With 401(k) Benefits, premiered #1 on iTunes and Top 10 on the Billboard Comedy Charts.
A former international street performer turned emcee, Sonal Aggarwal has brought her talents to Chicago as an actor, comedian, producer and movement artist. Her one woman show The Alchemy of Bliss played for a sold out weekend at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater. You can see her on Netflix’s Easy as well as the short film A Period Piece, which debuted at SXSW 2020.
Laura Hugg is a hilarious stand-up comedian, sketch comic, and storyteller. She is a Second City Conservatory graduate and in “the before times,” you could see her at comedy clubs and independent shows across Chicagoland. She’s been a producer of several popular stand-up showcases (such as House of Za, Frank Simon Comedy Hour, and Comedy Tub) and was long-time host of the Second City Training Center Open Mic. Currently, she is honing her craft in Zoom rooms all over the globe!
Your Support Matters
Proceeds from this package support each participating business, as well as the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. GRCC is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on special events to fund our work supporting local small businesses. When festivals like Ravenswood On Tap and Ravenswood ArtWalk were cancelled in 2020, we lost vital revenue. Now more than ever, your support has a huge impact on our mission to foster a vibrant, sustainable, hyper-local economy in Ravenswood.
