Welcome to the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce’s guide to local summer camps! Step into a world of imagination and exploration with camps that are designed to inspire young minds and foster their passion for creativity. We’ve collected exciting places in our community where fun-filled experiences and lasting summer memories await.

Lillstreet Art Center

Your kid can find new friends, learn a new skill, and find ~craft confidence~ in Lillstreet’s 2026 Summer Camps! Lillstreet Art Center offers camps across mediums and skill levels all through summer. Beginning at ages 3 and above, Kidstreet camps are scheduled across a variety of time slots to accommodate guardian work schedules. Warning: at this camp, kids should come “dressed for mess!” The camps are week-long, created for ages 3–16, and cover topics in ceramics, metalsmithing, sewing, printmaking, painting, drawing, and digital art.

BitSpace

BitSpace camps offer more than just projects; they’re a springboard for skills that open doors to life’s vast opportunities! They’ve got crashing cars, dancing robots, wonky warped wood and more to give kids a creative summer of learning, experiencing, and making! BitSpace’s summer camps are perfect for 9-14 year old kids. Plus—looking for an enriching experience for kids 14+? BitSpace’s Summer Apprenticeship Program is accepting applications here!

Lycée Francais de Chicago World Camp

Run by experienced teachers and instructors, World Camp offers countless daily opportunities for fun and learning all summer long. They offer language immersion day camps in Arabic, French, German, Italian and Mandarin Chinese. Children from over 80 local and international schools meet to form new friendships, have fun together and learn from their team of talented teachers. World Camp welcomes speakers of all levels of fluency, beginners included.

DANK Haus Summer Camp

DANK Haus’s German speaking teachers are excited to welcome campers to their summer adventure – projects, experiments, field trips, crafts & arts await in an immersive German setting. No prior German knowledge necessary! This is a bilingual camp, everybody is welcome. Students will share adventures, develop new friendships, and learn and practice their German language. All camps run for two weeks.

Pilgrim Quest Summer Camp

School of Rock Andersonville’s music camps offer a wide selection of various music experiences. From beginner music camps to intermediate and advanced sessions, our music camps and workshops near you will further a student’s musical foundation. Bunny Ears Art House

Bunny Ears Art House believes that summer is for exploration, play, experimentation, and creative thinking—that getting messy is part of the fun and that process based art helps us take risks, problem solve and build confidence. JCYS – Jewish Council for Youth Services

Welcome to Big City Day Camp, a place of endless adventure and discovery. Based at JCYS Lincoln Square Ravenswood, campers will dive into a world of creativity and fun, engaging in activities such as storytelling, arts and crafts, yoga, and outdoor experiences. But that’s not all—Big City Day Camp includes a weekly field trip and swimming three times per week!

Easel Art Studio

Easel Art Studio Camps are ARTastic! Campers will get to paint, draw, sculpt, build and create masterpieces. Even if you are new to art or a well traveled artist, let our teachers blossom your child’s fine art skills all while having FUN! Every day campers explore different neighborhood parks, create outside, and host quite the water play in Easel’s backyard.

iCode Ravenswood

Beyond each camp’s core theme, iCode students gain three powerful built-in benefits. Every camp begins with Digital Citizenship, teaching kids how to stay safe, respectful, and responsible online. Students also enjoy a daily one-hour Personal Project Lab. Throughout the week, they build essential soft skills like teamwork, communication, creativity, perseverance, and critical thinking—learning to use AI as a tool while collaborating confidently and solving real-world problems together.

StoryStudio Chicago

StoryStudio offers multiple week-long Creative Writing workshops for young scribes. With talented instructors, young writers can expect to learn elements of writing, build friendships and community with fellow peers, and get feedback on their creative works. StoryStudio summer camps include different sessions, a mix of online and in-person, and covering grades 4 through 12.

Forge Film Acting

The team at Forge Film Acting built the on-camera acting classes they would have wanted as young actors. While so many schools and studios offer training for theater, musical theater, and college auditioning, the gap for kids’ on-camera acting training was missing. ​​Instead of kids fitting into adult classes when they’re ready, these courses are built for kids, packed with material written for their age group, and training geared towards the actual on-camera projects they can expect to work on as professional child actors.
