In 2001, Marcy Kennedy Anderson moved to Chicago to study at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in an attempt to stretch her artistic vocabulary and delve deep into her imagination. She was especially inspired by the Chicago Imagists, whom she studied under, and was one day given a piece of advice that changed her art direction, to “draw what’s inside of you.”
In subsequent years, she has continued to express herself through a wide variety of 2-D art forms and has shown her art in a wide variety of public and private galleries. Her commissions have led her to utilize realism, surrealism and impressionism across a variety of unique projects.
Marcy will be popping up at Urban Pooch Canine Life Center during ArtWalk weekend.
