Sweet Sensations Pastry

11174885_969931886373579_3165685391905502670_nThere’s been a lot of buzz about Sweet Sensation Pastry the last few weeks, thanks in no small part to baker Sandy Hunter and her run on the Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship. With episodes of the competition airing each Sunday, Sweet Sensations has been baking Sunday treats to match those that Hunter made during that week’s episode. Sunday is Mother’s Day, so there’ll be another chance to eat what you see on tv with mom! Now, some of you might be thinking, “I bet they’ll be packed on Sunday…” Lucky for you there are six other days in the week (some of which they’ll have the special bakes), and all of which feature a variety of different treats cooked up by Hunter and the shop’s owner, Sharin Nathan. Nathan is a star in her own right, with a resume that includes a stint at Charlie Trotter’s and a Top Ten Dessert Award from the Chicago Tribune. If mom’s got a sweet tooth, Sweet Sensations has her fix.
