Networking events can sometimes be awkward for humans, but dogs are naturals when it comes to making new friends. Let your pup do the ice-breaking at our annual January mixer: Where Bark Meets Business!
Back by popular demand, Where Bark Meets Business offers attendees the chance to make valuable new connections with local professionals while letting their pets mingle in Empirical Brewery’s dog-friendly Ravenswood taproom! Admission includes two beers, small bites from Empircal’s new Rogers Park Brewpub, and entrance into a raffle for some dog-centric goodies. The crew from Urban Pooch Training and Fitness Center will also be on-hand showing off their skills and hosting a dog trick contest! Best trick earns a prize from Urban Pooch!
This event is open to all professionals, not just chamber members or those in Ravenswood. Bringing a dog is not required, but is certainly encouraged. Spaces are expected to fill up fast. Advance tickets are $15 for GRCC members and $20 for non-members. If available, tickets at the door will cost $20 for GRCC members and $25 for non-members. ** A portion of each ticket will be donated to The Friendship Center’s pet food pantry.

- Ravenswood Networking Event Goes to the Dogs: “Though some folks revel in networking, plenty of others would rather sign up for a root canal. After noticing how many dogs were welcome in offices and shops up and down Ravenswood, Margaret O’Conor, the chamber’s development director, figured an event open to two-legged attendees and their four-legged friends would be ‘a slam dunk.’” Patti Wetli, DNAinfo Chicago, 2015
